Preparation of design and cost-estimate documents for the wastewater treatment plant for the needs of the Ararat municipality
Within the framework of the project, a detailed design of a 2000 m3/day wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for Banavan district of Ararat city GMP of Ararat marz of Armenia and a part of Ararat village was developed. Selection of the location of the WWTP, geodetic and engineering-geological surveys of the area, determination of the design capacity of the plant, selection of mechanical, biological, and nature-based wastewater treatment technology, technological calculations and hydraulic modeling, and selection of technological devices and equipment were carried out.
Within the framework of the project, an environmental impact assessment report and an environmental impact mitigation measures and management plan were also developed. The EIA package has passed an environmental examination and received a positive conclusion.
It is planned to reuse the wastewater treated in the WWTP for irrigation purposes.
