Yerevan solid waste - feasibility study update

Project Details

The following activities were carried out within the framework of the project:

1. Development of conditions for the construction of a new sanitary landfill in Nubarashen and the closure and conservation of the existing landfills in Nubarashen and Ajapnyak in accordance with EU standards.
2. All previous studies and project documents developed to date that are directly or indirectly related to the project were reviewed.
3. All necessary data were collected in close consultation with the Yerevan Municipality Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and a physical inspection of the sites related to the proposed investment components was carried out.
4. Additional data collection was carried out.
5. Communication and coordination of relevant stakeholders, including Yerevan Municipality/PIU, state bodies, private sector, NGOs.
